Derby 101 is open to beginners 18 years+ who want to learn the game of flat track roller derby, and is the first step to becoming a Hammer City Roller Girl. If you’re determined, dedicated, and team-oriented, we want to hear from you!
Our experienced skaters will teach you the skating and derby skills you’ll need to know. It’s the only program in the Hamilton area specifically designed and dedicated to help you build your roller derby know-how in a safe and supportive environment. In fact, many of our current skaters took their very first strides in Derby 101.
Graduate from our 101 program, and you will be eligible to join our Smash Squad where you will continue to hone your derby prowess while working towards becoming a rostered HCRG skater.
You can also email that address with any questions. Or, just come to the first session on July 10, which is an off-skates information and sign-up night. Meet current skaters, learn more about the program, and determine if derby is right for you.
