Derby 101 is open to beginners 18 years+ who want to learn the game of flat track roller derby. Our 10-week sessions run three times per year. If you’re determined, dedicated, and team-oriented, we want to hear from you! No experience is required.

Insurance: CRDi insurance is mandatory unless you have roller sport insurance through another provider. Please forward your email confirmation from CRDi to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the start of Derby 101.
Safety Gear: Knee & elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, mouth guard and quad roller skates are required. Need gear? Lucid Lou from Twelve Thirty Four Skate Co. will be holding a gear fitting session at Coronation Arena on Wednesday, April 13, during 6:00 – 8:30 pm. Come on by and try on skates, pads, and helmets.
If you already know how to play roller derby or are returning to the sport after a hiatus, Smash Squad is the place for you. You’ll have the space to regain your derby legs alongside other returnees and freshly minted Derby 101 grads. Smash Squad members can join regular league practices after successfully passing the current Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) skills test.
