The Hammer City Roller Girls (HCRG) strives to provide a recreational and entertaining sports activity that promotes female athleticism and teamwork while contributing to the growth and advancement of the sport of flat track roller derby.

HAMMER CITY ROLLER GIRLS – ABOUT

Established in January 2006, The Hammer City Roller Girls (HCRG) is an all female, not-for-profit, skater operated, flat track roller derby league based in Hamilton, Ontario. For the 2011 season, HCRG re-aligned its home team structure to focus its efforts on inter-league play. The league is now comprised of the WFTDA sanctioned/charter Hammer City Eh! Team and the Hammer City Harlots regional team, both of whom compete against other cities in Canada and the US.

WFTDAThe HCRG is proud to be the second international member the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) a rapidly expanding organization. WFTDA promotes the growth of women’s flat track roller derby leagues across the globe. As a WFTDA league, the HCRG has the opportunity to help shape the continued growth and development of roller derby – through contributing to the rule set, learning from more established leagues, being eligible for ranking and tournament play, and improving the public image of women’s flat track roller derby in Canada, North America, and the world.
